11. Junior Welfare

This welfare plan is designed to minimize the risks to young people taking part and to maximise their enjoyment and well-being. Everyone that is involved in hockey has a duty of care to others within the sport and a legal and moral duty to ensure their safety and welfare.

Our Welfare Officer is Marni Grieg who can be contacted at mgreig.SHCwelfare@gmail.com. Marni is the first point of contact within the club for coaches, volunteers, parents and all players for any concern about junior (U18) and senior welfare, instances of poor practice, and to report any injuries which may occur during hockey activity.

All volunteers, coaches, team managers, technical delegates and officials are encouraged to work to high standards in line with Sheffield Hockey Club’s policies and recognised best practice.
