Let's spruce up Abbeydale!!

Sheffield Hockey Club Working Days II and III

Calling all club members!!!

Firstly, thanks to all those of you who came along on Saturday 2nd August and helped get started on refreshing the Abbeydale pitch and spectator area.
So far:
• New equipment boxes have been repaired/ installed.
• The lost property box has been repaired.
• The officials dug out has been cleaned.
• Work on the pitch entrance, including fence painting and step walls, has taken place
• Spectator chairs have been repaired.
• Sponsors banners have been tidied up.
• Spectator area has been cleared of spare fence material, weeds and swept of debris.

However, there is still more work to be done so could you spare a few hours to come and help spruce up the playing and spectator area at Abbeydale???? It would be amazing if we could get lots of members down to the ‘Dale to help make our club look even better and ready for the new season!!

Below is a list of the jobs that still need doing:

The following tasks can be carried out on Sunday 17th August under the supervision of Saul Halladay

• Complete maintenance to hockey goals (astro backboards on new goals / new backboards/repair nets on old goals).
• Complete repairs to spectator fence – replace clips and straighten mesh.
• Continue to re-paint – white metal gate & stair rail/fence to pitch.
• Fully clean all dug-outs (inc. curtains) and dug-out areas – spectator and on-pitch (not Officials’ dug out).
