⏱ Match Format
Teams play all other teams attending that evening

Pitch Layout
Use half pitch, 1 goal at either end of the half
Pitch split in to 1/3s, by use of throw down strips, attacking 1/3 replaces the need for a D to be measured out
Rope used to divide both pitches.

Scoring
Goals must be scored from within a marked “scoring zone”, the attacking 1/3
Deflections & rebounds count
No goals from free hits or sideline plays outside the zone

Free Hits & Sideline Plays
Defenders must be 4m away
Free hits won within the attacking “scoring zone” results in the below.

❌ No Penalty Corners
Instead of PCs, Attackers choice:
Award a free shot at goal from top of scoring zone (GK in place), or
A 1v1 vs GK starting from the edge of the scoring zone, all other players in opposite attacking 1/3
All players resume play after whistle has gone for 1vs1
If no GK present/youth hockey, nothing but net flick from an appropriate distance

Fouls & Cards
Green = 1 min off (or for seniors a physical challenge eg 10 press ups off the pitch)
Yellow = 2 or 5 min off (or for seniors a harder physical challenge)
Red = removed for rest of session (no replacement)

⚠️ Safety Emphasis
No lifted hits (except aerials under control and flick/lifted shots)
GK must wear full kit at all times
Players without shin pads/mouthguards play at own risk over 18 years old
U18s MUST wear gumshield and shin pads or risk refusal to play

Umpires
Self appointed for Senior Summer 6s
Clarify rules (especially scoring zone and PCA alternatives) before each evening
