Get ready for SHC's SUMMER SIXES Hockey -a 6-a-side format to be played on Birkdale School's Castle Dyke MUGA pitch. Equipped with goals and pitch markings we can play a fast paced version of the game whilst the new pitch at Abbeydale is being installed, ready for the 24/25 season.

Teams will consist of 5 outfielders (with a squad of up to 8 plyers) and 1 goalkeeper in a round robin format organised to fit number of teams fielded on any given evening. Everyone will get to play lots of hockey in a fast-paced and fun environment. There are some alterations to the normal rules of the game which will be released via the website and social media before SUMMER SIXES starts.

SUMMER SIXES will start from the 15th of July and run till the last week in August.

The match fee will be £5 per player (paid via Pitchero); however, this initiative is FREE for all Goalkeepers!
