Impact of National Lockdown to Hockey

As a result of the national lockdown, the hockey pitch will be completely out of action from 00:00 on Thursday 5th November until the end of the lockdown period. This means that no hockey will be taking place during this time. Unlike during previous local lockdowns, this is applicable to all hockey activity including juniors, one to one sessions etc.

As you aware, the situation nationally is incredibly fluid which makes it very difficult for us to plan. Our hope is that hockey can restart in the not so distant future and we’ll ensure we do all of the necessary planning so that we can pick up where we left off.

Whilst no hockey is being played, our costs as a club still remain. For that reason, and in anticipation that we will fulfil the season’s quota of fixtures when circumstances permit, we will continue to collect monthly instalments in order to allow us to implement our return to hockey. Junior fees will continue to be collected in the usual way, as and when they become due

We appreciate that these are challenging times so if you wish to discuss your financial situation with one of the club captains then please get in touch.
