Sheffield Hockey Club are proud to be recognised as an England Hockey accredited Talent Centre -- that is, recognised for the quality of the Club's talent development environment and provision for players at early talent development level.

Through the accreditation process, we have been able to examine how the Club, working in partnership with others, can continually improve our playing environments and the way that we support, develop and challenge our junior members across all elements of their hockey. This includes not only looking at how we help players learn the technical and tactical aspects of the game, but also the information that we provide to support members' health & well-being, mental health, nutrition, physical performance, and team skills -- how we look after ourselves, and each other, in order to be able to perform at our best.

We recognise the pivotal support that parents and guardians provide to junior players on and off the pitch. With this in mind, we aim to offer more information about how they are able to be involved in the development, support and progression of their child(ren) within hockey.

We will be adding new content over the coming months to support junior and parent members in these areas.
