We are just going to ignore the first half of the game, point to note when the ball is struck outside the D there is the chance of it getting a feather edge touch of a stick so always play ball. 2-0 down at half time.
We started afresh in the second half with our 'Sheffield Shout Out 'coming out more focused and determined. Slazegers got a quick third goal but then the Sheffield were on the attack and within the first 10 minutes we had a flurry of short corners but unfortunately not able to convert any to goal. The attack continued with lots of action in the Slazengers D and after some great battles from Harjar and Hannah R a lovely cross from Hajar found a sprinting Vikki Beavis, practically diving with her stick outstretched to get the last tap to secure the goal.
During the match a number of people found themselves lying on the Astroturf, not all through any fault of their own, well done Nina for getting back up after that disgusting foul. Hannah R what we can we say taking on the on keeper, both feet left the ground in a spectacular cartwheel.
Sheffield had some lovely periods of play: great passing, kept the width, some lovely defensive deflections to prevent further goals and we still came off with a smile on our face.
Girl of the game to Hannah Richardson followed by Nina Sanderson.
