6. Junior Player Feedback

It is the club’s aim to provide feedback to all its junior players to support each and every player’s development no matter what their level or aspiration. We also encourage players to reflect on their own playing qualities, including their superstrengths as well as the areas where they need to focus to improve. For players in the older age-groups, we have development plans available to support them, and encourage players to discuss these with their coaches to identify what support can be provided.

If you have any questions about your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to speak to the lead contact or coach for your child’s age-group.

If you have any questions or concerns about player welfare, please contact our Welfare Officer, Marni Grieg, at mgreig.SHCwelfare@gmail.com.

Whether you are a coach, parent, brother, sister, teammate or friend…. these are our favourite questions and conversation starters for our junior superstars when they’ve finished playing:

  • Did you have fun? Which bit did you enjoy the most?
  • I enjoyed watching you play! I'm proud of you!
  • What made you smile today?
  • What did you do better than anyone else this day?
  • What was the coolest thing you saw a teammate do today?
  • Talk me through your favourite moment of the game!
